I am in total disbelief at this moment…..I was on here because I just heard of Jimbo's death early this morning in the car accident. Words cannot express the amount of grief I am feeling for the Elrod family right now. Bill, I know you and your wife have experienced the number one loss a person can experience, the loss of a child. I cannot imagine the pain you and Lisa have felt. And now in losing Jimbo, my heart is so heavy for your whole family as well. I wish I had known about Billie Dawn! I would have wanted to express my sympathy personally. I pray that God continues to wrap his arms around each member of your family and hold you all especially close at such a very sad and difficult time. Losing two very close family members in a year is extremely hard. I know! I lost Daddy and Mom not even 6 months apart. Daddy was so sick with his heart and Amy Mom had a car accident but actually died from a blood clot just a week before she was set to come home, after being in the hospital for 3 weeks! Was devastating! I love you all!

Billie Dawn was my best friend, sista, and soulmate. We sometimes forget that even a few months could be to long and they could be gone. She taught me I'm a survivor, and not a victim. I love her and her family very much. I will miss her so much. It will hurt, but she's was so strong and held her head up no matter what. I loved her so much. I'm lost now but hopefully I'll find my way home to someday and seat and chat at my Billie Dawn my girl

I just got word of Billie Dawn's death today and my heart is broken. I will always remember her as the little girl across the street. Kirsten taught us to do the moon walk on the front porch. Ours had turf on it, so their porch worked much better. We were friends throughout life, as life has a funny way of bringing people back together. I had not seen her in quite some time, but I know if we did, it would be like we never skipped a beat. She was a beautiful soul and I will always hold a special place in my heart for her. I remember when Billie Dawn had colorful words for Grampa Bill next to the pool when she sat down next to him in his lounge chair. We girls had to watch our language from that point on lol. May heaven give you the peace you longed for Billie Dawn you live in our memories.
