Although I had so few opportunities to be around Jack, he just exudes happiness and fun — what a beautiful spirit, so full of laughter and goodness. Shelli and Leslie, I just saw the obituary today for your Dad. I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I also wanted to say that I can remember growing up next door and how your Dad would always go the extra mile for all us kids in the neighborhood. He was a very fun and kind man, who will be missed. Jackie was the big brother to all us kids on second place when I was growing up.Some memories of Jackie –He built a huge wooden sled that was bigger than a pick-up truck, loaded a bunch of us kids in his car and drove us to Mohawk through the ice and snow. Then he hooked the sled to the back of his car, piled us on and drove us all around the park for over an hour.Years later, when I was pregnant with my twins, Jackie's business at the time was placing a bottle of Diet Rite cola on every doorknob in Tulsa. He learned from his mom,Lou, that I had developed an allergy to caffeine. Knowing how much I loved my pop, Jackie sent a truck to my parents house where I was staying and had half a truck of Diet Rite offloaded in their garage for me.Just two of my memories of a very good man.
