Linda, I wanted you and your family to know that my husband and I was on the cruise and also on the tour bus sitting in front of Victor in Denali Park. I never did get to visit with him or his mom and dad but I noticed them several times on the ship and he looked happy.When we got on the bus in the park that day, he looked happy and well. At one point he tapped me on my right shoulder and of course I turned to the right. He wasn't there so I turned to the left and he was sitting there with a big grin and said, "Good Morning!" We talked a few minutes and there was never any indication to me that he wasn't feeling well. About 30 minutes later we got out of the bus and the smokers hung together and they said he smoked alone that time and didn't act right. The next time I heard him was like a snoring sound and I thought he was playing another joke. I turned around and he had just slumped over. I want you to know, as I know that his mom and dad have told you, every effort was made to revive him. We were all very sad when we heard he had passed away.My heart goes out to you and your children. God bless you.Sandra Vestal Clark
I lived down the street from Vic when I was an adolescent/teenager and he was like a father to me during a time after my parents divorced. This was in the late 80s / early 90s, right before and after Wes was born. He really was like a father to me at a time when I needed that most. Although I haven't seen or talked with him in years, I still look back at those times fondly and remember Vic as a father figure, friend, and genuinely good guy. He undoubtedly had a positive impact upon my life and will never be forgotten. My thoughts and warmest wishes go with Linda and his sons.Sincerely, Ryan Roberts

Sorry for the loss. My heart was touched when I heard the news.from Stephanie Lester Payton. I feel the loss. My husband passed away 20 months ago on the 14ht so I kinda know how you are feeling right now. So glad Denny was there when the Lesters passed away ( I was their housekeeper), he came to the house several times when I was there and was always so kind to me. I will keep you in my prayers in day to come for GOD to give your family strength God bless you and the boys and all the family.
