Betty McCarthy

Betty Jean McCarthy, age 88, resident of Glenpool for the last three years, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 16, 2018, in Glenpool. Betty was born August 3, 1929, in Phoenix City, Alabama, to Lois and Nora(Favors) Ray. At the age of sixteen, Betty married the love of her life, Charles “Charlie” McCarthy. They were married 62 years until his passing May 16, 2007. Charlie thought Betty had a full-time job at home taking care of him and their four boys. Therefore, she didn’t work outside the home. Her favorite of all favorites was a good Milky Way candy bar.

Betty left behind her loving family: four(4) sons: Charles Isaac McCarthy and wife Sue, Michael McCarthy and wife Donna, Ernst “Pat” McCarthy and wife Diana, and Rowe Leroy McCarthy and wife Dorothy; grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Charlie McCarthy; and her granddaughter: Kelly McCarthy.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018, 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M., Floral Haven Funeral Home Visitation Suites, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, May 21, 2018, 10:00 A.M., Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
