Billy Wayne “Buck”  Rogers, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, departed this life in Tulsa Ok. at St. Francis Hospital, on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. He was born in Leechville, Arkansas on May 13, 1940 and graduated from Berryhill High School. He married Patricia A. Brinkman on August 5, 1982 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Broken Arrow, by Pastor Arthur Spomer. He is preceded in death by parents Charlie Bell and Ruby Lee (Cunningham) Rogers of Berryhill and brother Donald Rogers of Inola, Ok. He is survived by his wife Patricia of Broken Arrow. Ok: brothers Berneil (Mae) Rogers of Tahlequah, Jimmy (Betty) Rogers of Coweta and Gary (Judy) Rogers of Texas; sisters Geraldine (Lawrence) Click of Mounds and Marcelleta Kelley of Tahlequah: sons Randall (Carolyn) Rogers of Barnsdell, Larry (Becky) Rogers of Virginia, Christopher (Dana) Rogers, of Tulsa, Barry Rogers of Skiatook and daughter Heather Thompson of Coweta; grandchildren, Megan and Sara Rogers, Larry Rogers, Lindsay Lamb, Jason Rogers, Ashlee Landis, Sydney and Noah Huston, Lorena Spratt, Vincent Leck, Ashley Guinn, Curtis Guinn , and Guy Guinn and great-grandchildren Jayden Landis. Kylar Rogers, Kalyee Guinn,  Kirsten Padlock, Saphira Guinn and Madison Guinn and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from St. Francis Hospital Transportation Security Dept. on September 30, 2010 after 30 yrs of service. He loved working at St. Francis and with all the people that he met thru the years. He worked for American Airlines in the accounting department from 1958-1964 until the accounting office moved to New York. From 1964 until 1970 he worked for the US Post Office as a carrier in Tulsa. In 1970 to 1976 he worked for the Central Ambulance as EMT, driver and attendant and they held the first  pararmedic classes in Tulsa .  He worked for Tom Inman Trucking company as a dispatcher from 1977-1981. In 1980 he was a security officer for the Warren Foundation at the Warren Building. In 1981 he started his relationship with St. Francis Hospital working security. The Bill “Buck” Rogers family would like to thank all of our friends for their prayers and support. We appreciate all the compasion and care given to Bill during his numerous stays at St. Francis these last few months. Also, we would like to thank the Broken Arrow Fire Department and ambulance crew for their prompt response and help. Memorial donations may be given to: St. Francis Children’s Hospital or St. Francis Cancer Center, Tulsa, Ok.
