Dorothy Mae Dayer passed away April 18, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born on April 9, 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Henry and Lucy Freymuth. She married Joseph Anton Dayer, a watch repairman at Sears and Roebuck in 1963. Dorothy worked in the food service industry and retired from Bama Pie where she worked as an office administrator. She was devoted to her family and very active in the Catholic Church. She was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and an Oblate of Saint Benedict. Dorothy loved to travel and visited places such as Switzerland, Portugal and Rome. She loved to cook and was known for her baking. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dayer and by her three siblings; Evelyn Barbee, Lucille Ford and Leonard Freymuth. She is survived by her children; Tony Dayer and wife Stephany of Broken Arrow, and Mary Crain and husband Eric of Owasso; grandchildren; Nicholas Crain, Erica Crain and Peyton Dayer; along with dozens of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 27th at 5:00pm followed by a Rosary at 6:00pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave., Broken Arrow, OK. 74012. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 11:00am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1727 S. 75th E. Ave., Tulsa, OK. 74112. Burial will follow the services at Floral Haven Cemetery.
