Frank W. Colburn, 63, of Tulsa passed from this world into the presence of the Lord on March 1, 2011, after a courageous battle with Colon Cancer. He was born in Colorado Springs, CO on June 4, 1947, to Earl and Helen Colburn. After graduating from East Central High School in Tulsa in 1965, he joined the United States Marines Corp. He loved his country and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Frank was an avid softball player. He played in the Senior Softball League competitively for the last 13 years and enjoyed every minute of it. He played his last tournament in Las Vegas in November, 2010. It was his goal to just be able to play one more game. Frank is survived by his wife of 13 years, Susan Colburn; three step-daughters of the home, Jessica Diehl, Jordan Diehl and Julie Ann Diehl; son and girlfriend, Kevin Colburn and Haley Brock; daughter and son-in-law, Sophie and Collin McKinney, all of Tulsa, OK; daughter-in-law and hus- band, Sadie and Trevor Patterson of Caledonia, MI; mother Helen Colburn; grandchildren, Devon Callaway, Hunter Colburn, Daniel McKinney, James McKinney, Olivia Colburn, Payton Diehl, Mason Diehl, Adrian Brock and Andrew Brock; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Earl Colburn, his brothers David Michael Colburn and John Colburn, his son, William Scott Colburn, and his step-son Joshua Kevin Diehl. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, March 7, 2011, at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 5590 S. Lewis, Tulsa, OK.
