George Van Kleeck II

January 27, 1939 - April 8, 2022

George Van Kleeck II, 83, of Broken Arrow, OK passed away, April 8, 2022, peacefully surrounded by close family. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 PM, Thursday, April 21st at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 6500 2 129th E Ave. Broken Arow, OK 74012. A small reception will follow at Cedar Ridge Country Club on the outdoor patio facing the golf course. George was born on January 27, 1939, in Huntington Park, California to George K Van Kleeck and Mary Elizabeth (Larimore) Van Kleeck. He graduated from Grant High School in Portland, OR in 1956 and from the University of Nebraska in Political Science and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He married the love of his life Gayle Ann Didier on July 3, 1981, in Fort Smith, AR. George was employed as General Manager of Sears, Roebuck and Co. and later as a General Manager for Sam’s Club in Tulsa, OK, Fishers, Indiana and Michigan. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed his family, family events, vacationing, fishing at his father in laws farm, gardening and drinking a can of Coor’s light. George is survived by his wife Gayle Ann Van Kleeck Broken Arrow, OK, his brother Kent Van Kleeck and wife Jan; his two sons Jon Van Kleeck and his wife Julene of St. Louis and David Van Kleeck and his wife Stacey Lexington, KY and his daughter Melissa Mirsaeidi and her husband Navid Mirsaeidi of Tulsa, OK.; 12 grandchildren Aaron, Alli, Jacob, and Matt Van Kleeck, Nick, Nathaniel and Nolan Van Kleeck, Desire Mirsaeidi, Jessica and Jamie McLane and Russell and Kirby McLane. 7 nephews and nieces, Justin and Jason Van Kleeck and Greg Gammill, Sharon Wilhite, Jill Milliner, Dustin Van Kleeck and Kristen Guilford. He was preceded in death by his parents George K Van Kleeck, Mary Elizabeth Van Kleeck and one brother Lorin Van Kleeck and his sister Patt Gammill.
