We worked with 14 different cultures, traveling to Taiwan, Kenya, East Africa, Point Barrow, Alaska, South Dakota, Fiji, Somoa, Tonga and Mexico. We paid our own transportation, paid our room and board, and donated our work. In 1992 my wife and I established the Honaker Foundation, a tax free foundation to promote mission work and further education by granting Educational Scholarships to High School Seniors. The single most important thing I have accomplished since graduating from Webster is being married to Frances for 63 years. Without whose full support none of the above would have been accomplished. For 40 years I had a mistress, “MEDICINE”, and spent many evenings, nights, week-ends and holidays away from home. She never once complained about suppers not eaten or her lack of help raising three beautiful and successful children. It is she that deserves any and all accolades.” Jack is survived by wife, Frances Honaker; Sons & Daughter-In-Laws, Richard & Darlene Honaker of Ellicott, MD, Michael & Jan Honaker of Tulsa, Ok, ; Daughter Debra Pool of Plano, Tx; Grandsons, Matthew & Rebecca Honaker of Baltimore, MD, James Honaker of Los Angeles, Ca., Ben Honaker of Little Rock, Ar., Thomas Pool of Lubbock, Tx., Michael Pool of Allen, Tx; Sister, Sue & Bill Roberson of Plano, Tx,; Brother, Jim & Ann Honaker of Arlington, Tx; Numerous Nieces and Nephews In lieu of Flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, Oklahoma City, or Diabetes Association.
