Mark Joseph Mueting was born February 17, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa. He died from pancreatic carcinoma on January 17, 2011 in St. John Medical Center. He was preceded in death by the following family members: his parents, Aletha and Obie Mueting; his sisters, Jean, Mary and Lois; his brothers, Obie Junior, William, John and Paul; his sons, Mark Christopher and twin infant sons, Shawn and Kevin. He is survived by: his sister, Gail Brees and her husband, Ted, of Dallas, Oregon; and a myriad of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Mark lived in several states before moving to Tulsa in 1965. He had a medical disability retirement from St. John Medical Center in 1995. With gratitude and a special thanks to the following medical personnel for their care and guidance during this current illness and the many other medical issues over the last 30 years: Dr. John Coyle, Dr. Edwin Yeary, Dr. Tex Goen Jr., Dr. Jill Wenger, Dr. David Minor, Dr. Michael Maxwell, St. John Cyberknife Staff and St. John Hospital Nursing and Support Staff. In Markâ??s own words: â??What my life was to me: a gift from God, a wonderful life of people who touched me, a God who always forgave me and a God who always loved me.â? A funeral mass will be celebrated at 7 PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Holy Family Cathedral.
