Marvin J. “Mac” McDonald, 82, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010 after a very long battle with cancer. Born October 18, 1927 in Kiowa, Oklahoma. Served in the Navy during World war II. Returned home to Muskogee, Oklahoma and married Billie Jean. After working with the railroad for a short time Mac began his lifelong career in transportation. His active participation ended in 2008 with his retirement from Cargo Forwarding, Inc. He is survived by three sons: Marvin, Jr. of Owasso, Tim of Tulsa, and Eric of Coweta, Oklahoma; half brothers: Burton of El Mirage, Arizona, Gordon of Phoenix, Arizona, Stanley of El Cajon, California and half sister Joann Jensen of Melba, Idaho; Numerous grandchildren and a great grandchild will miss “Papa Marvin’s” warm smile and sense of humor. Those that had the opportunity to play cards with him along with the dealers at the Cherokee Casino knew his quick wit and enjoyment of the time he spent there. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Billie, brothers Millard and Melvin.
