Norman Glen Collier, 79, died February 11 at his home in Tulsa. He was born November 6, 1928 to Clarence William Collier and Lorena Hazel Richardson in Sparks, Oklahoma. He graduated valedictorian of Sparks High School in 1947, and then attended Oklahoma A&M graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering. At A&M, he met the love of his life, Marjorie Lucile Goodnight. They were married November 27, 1952. He worked for Cities Service Oil Company, retiring 1983 as Manager of Lubricant Sales with 30 years service. His hobbies included golf, fishing and “making sawdust”. Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 14, 3:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Chapel, 6500 S 129th E. Avenue in Broken Arrow, OK with Dr. Paul Leaming presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Clarehouse, 7324 E. 49th Place #3, Tulsa, 74145. Norm Collier will be remembered as a man who never met a stranger and always looked for and found the good in others, for his always kind and gentle nature, his integrity and character demonstrated in every aspect of his life, his whimsical sense of humor, his strength and optimism amidst challenge and his insatiable love for his family.Survived By: Marjorie, his wife of 55 years; 3 daughters, Meredith Kempf and husband Patrick of Bedford Texas, Pamela Lister and husband David of Tulsa and Kimberly Rucker and husband Ed of Tulsa; 6 grandchildren, Courtney and Whitney Lewellen, Sarah and Ben Rucker, Lauren Kempf, Jennifer Lister and great grandchild Ethan Gallagher. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Joan Collier.
