December 14, 1923 - March 8, 2021
Bonnie Pearl Elizabeth Adams, 97, went home to Heaven unexpectedly on March 8, 2021. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that will be remembered forever in the hearts of all who knew her. The last surviving child of Thomas Dixon and Mary Lucinda (Sappington) Dixon, Pearl was born on December 14, 1923, in Monroe Oklahoma. She grew up in Enterprise, Oklahoma. Times were hard during her childhood, but she had great adventures and plenty of stories to tell. She loved sharing them with anyone who had time to listen. On August 21, 1945, Pearl eloped with the love of her life, Raymond Joe. They were married in McAlester, Oklahoma, and shared seventy wonderful years together before his passing in November 2015. They made their home in Stigler until moving to Tulsa in 1956 and then later settling in Broken Arrow. Together they were blessed with two children. Pearl spent her years as a homemaker, caring for her husband, her home and raising their children. She was an excellent cook and shared that passion by trying to feed anyone who walked into her home. She was an avid reader, loved solving puzzles, shopping for bargains and she never missed an opportunity to travel. Whether it was Friday morning errands and breakfast with her daughter or family vacations across the country, she was always ready to go. Pearl was a kind, caring, and generous woman who will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her daughter Patsy Jo Perrier and husband James of Broken Arrow, son Rick Adams and wife Linda of Broken Arrow. 4 grandchildren: Steven Perrier and wife Lorey; David Adams and wife Angela; Leanna Gurley and husband Matt; Alisha Brunson and husband Daniel. 10 great-grandchildren: Jacob (and wife Megan), Lindsey (and husband Chase), Zoey, Sidney, Isobel, Dorian, Nathan, Grant, Andrew, and Tyler. 2 great-great-grandchildren: Lincoln and Cayson. Pearl was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ from a young age, and she joins her husband Raymond Joe, siblings Ben, Fred, and Pauline, and her parents in Heaven.
