Tycen Kole Edwards

Tycen Kole Edwards, 20, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away March 7th, 2022. He was born May 18th, 2001 to Brian Lee Edwards and Shanna Diane McDugle Byars. Tycen was a graduate of Broken Arrow High School Class of 2019. He started working as an electrician right away after high school and loved working and learning his trade. Tycen was a lover of all things soccer and played from the time he was very young until he was too sick to play anymore, even playing when he was actively in chemotherapy treatment. He loved gaming and streaming, sharing with friends all over the world. He loved hanging out with his friends and spending time with his family, especially his brother and little sisters. Tycen found Christ and was baptized at Life.Church. He loved his time in Switch Youth Group as a teenager and came to know Christ’s love for him. He valued his identity as a believer, and it brought him much comfort in his last days. Tycen’s fight with cancer was nothing short of inspiring. He never complained, never made excuses, and never backed down. His strength, courage, and determination leave a legacy that will live on in all of our hearts forever. Tycen is preceded in death by his uncles, John McDugle and Jeffrey Edwards. Tycen is survived by his mother and stepfather, Shanna Byars and Lee Ford, and father and stepmother, Brian and Rebecca Edwards. His brother, Cameron Suggs, and sisters Sabra and Sydney Edwards. His grandparents, Wayne and Connie McDugle and Charles and Becky Edwards, all of Broken Arrow. Uncles and Aunts, Will and Amber Edwards and Michael and Carrie Kirby of Broken Arrow. Cousins Kaitlyn and Erik Hoffman, Aubrey, Eli, and Owen Edwards, Trey Armstrong, and Ethen Kirby. His step-siblings Tyler, Addyson, and Lylli Ford and Courtney Harris. Plus numerous other extended family who love him very, very much. Services for Tycen will be held 1:00 pm Friday, March 18th 2022 at Life.Church South Broken Arrow, 5801 S Elm Place, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Interment date to be determined at Vernon Cemetery, Coweta, OK. #tycenstrong
