In 1962 Velma met Charley, at a dance, here in Tulsa, at the Famous Cain’s Ballroom. They soon made Tulsa their home. Over the years, Velma and Charley took many vacations by car. Traveling on vacations to many states, and Canada too, mom was an avid person to see the country’s scenery. As she especially loved gardens, flowers, and visiting National Parks. Charley enjoyed the same traveling, along with photography, they made the perfect travel companions. Back at home, they often recreated the garden colors they enjoyed from every state. They also enjoyed the sceneries of Canada as they visited as often as possible. Velma also enjoyed raising Pomeranian dogs, over the past 20+ years, she gave a great and loving life to all of them: Clyde, Barney, Jackie, Lexi, and now Peachy.
