Luke Israel Ezra Trotter's Obituary
Luke Trotter, born December 1, 1996, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 28. A son, grandson, father, brother, and friend, Luke was known for his infectious smile, his quick wit, and his adventurous spirit that touched the lives of everyone around him.
Luke was a man of boundless energy, always eager to share a joke and make those around him laugh. His humor, paired with his love for life, created lasting memories for all who knew him. He had an insatiable love for adventure, a passion for exploring the open road, and a true appreciation for the beauty of the world around him. His job as a long haul flatbed truck driver allowed him to travel far and wide, and Luke cherished every new place, every new experience, and every new connection he made along the way.
Luke’s love for fast cars was matched only by his love for the outdoors. He found peace in hiking and felt alive under the open sky, where he could embrace the freedom that nature offered. His greatest joy, however, was being a father to his beloved son, Ezra. Luke’s bond with Ezra was unbreakable, and his love for his son was evident in everything he did.
Luke was deeply devoted to his family. He shared a special connection with his parents, siblings, and extended family, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a moment of laughter. He was the kind of person who made everyone feel like they belonged, and his heart was as big as his smile.
Luke is preceded in death by his uncle Shane Trotter.
Luke is survived by his adopted parents/grandparents Warren and Charlotte Trotter, mother Sunni Trotter, father Kabe Hotze, brother Caleb Trotter, sister Ashlyn Zaferis, son Ezra Trotter, cousins Kayden Trotter, Kyra Mayoleth and other family members Alexandrea Hotze, Bella Hotze, Ethen and Issac.
