Hey guys, I just found out about your Dad. I will always remember your Dad for a lot of things, but most of all for the friendship between our parent and us as families. We shared a lot of fun times together as the three of us grew up and our parents, Jack, Anvelee, Helen and Merle spent time together after we were grown. There are so many memories that flood my mind at a time like this, but just know that I will think of your folks as much as I think of mind and it just doesn't seem possible that the 4 of them are no longer with us…where has the years gone? Hi Bartley Family, We knew you guys as Mikee, Ricky and Larry on the Sharp side of the family. So sad to hear about your Dad. He was a gentleman and a I have memories of he and Anvele as my Mom Gwen used to tell me she was her favorite cousin. I just happened to see the article in yesterday's paper. I would be there tomorrow to say hello from all of us, but we are leaving town tomorrow morning and the paper said the service is at 12:30. I have sent an email to all of my cousins to let them know on the Sharp side of the family. We will all have you in our prayers. We first met Jack and Anvele well after his 70th birthday. They were such a joy to their family you felt blessed to share a meal or outing with them whether you were in their Tulsa home or while they visited Rick and Sevene. He held his family close but looked free of care as he dance with his granddaughter, Devon, at her wedding just a couple of years ago. Jack always amazed us with his "can do" spirit. He could fix or build anything especially if it involved helping one of his sons. Like many men of WWII, he served his country well with a quiet dignity. I was not surprised to read that he was a SeeBee. He was a man of talent, intellect and stamina. But what I remember most is how proud he was of his sons.It was a blessing to know him.
