I remember when I first met Sue and Nanny I was welcomed into the family with loving arms .She had a heart the size of Texas always putting everyone else first .She never once judged me for any of my mistakes.Always willing to help no matter what it cost.I once ask her Sue why don't you have a man she looked at me and laughed and said Rick I know how to take out the trash myself and mow the yard. She dearly loved her girls and all her grand children. She was an amazing woman and she will truly be missed.Tell Nanny we all said high and we love you both .we will see yall again someday soon.
I am Melba's friend from high school and can't count the number of times Sue welcomed me into their home. She was warm, kind and funny. She set a good example for young women to be strong and independent. I will be praying for her friends and family. May God keep you all close.
This is my Grandma. She taught me how to cook everything I know how to cook, I remember her taking us to the rental store to get a scary movie to watch while we made homemade ice cream Sundaes and I mostly remember how much she loved her mama, my Nanny Tessie. They would sit around the table with Aunt Pene and Uncle Russ dreaming of Vegas with a jar of nickels playing poker while us kids ran around playing!!! A very amazing lady! Very beautiful, always classy and stylish. Even as she got older she still had class and was very pretty. I love her so much and I know she’s with my Nanny right now. I talked to her most of the first night she left. I will always remember her standing at her front door waving me bye as I left her house. 🥲🥲❤️❤️
Whenever I sat at the kitchen table with she would always hold my hand when we talked
