My best friend!…see you again.
I remember Jim from High School. He was such a big personality. Loved by many and so talented. I am happy to read that he had a life filled with love and God’s many blessings. also thank you Jim for your service to our country. God bless your family.
We no longer take the newspaper, so I was shocked & devastated when I read about Jim’s passing in Marian’s Edison email. Jim and I shared one of those amazing friendships where, as years went by, we might not see each other as often, but when we did, it was as though we’d just talked the previous day. And we had lunch every year sometime between our birthdays (mine in May, his in June). We’d always invite our spouses, but Becky & Fred would always just say something like “No, this is your thing.” Becky, please know that you & the family are in my heart and prayers. Jim will be deeply missed….but I will remember that marvelous laugh of his….and we will see Jim again some day.
I am so sad to hear of Jim’s passing. We knew the Barnes family from church. Jim and Becky were such a good friends to my family and Jim was especially important to my dad. Jim was assigned as my dad’s Stephens minister when he had some pretty big life changes and needed some moral support outside of the family. Jim was a great support and confidant to my dad. They ate once a week at Bennigans for years and years! They went to see movies weekly. Year later, when Jim got sick, dad was able to support him too. They were good for each other and loyal friends. Jim was a good man and I know he will be greatly missed!!!
I will miss the talks we had when I would drop in without warning at your job. I remember one day when 2 grown men said ” I LOVE YOU” to each other. I know where you are and I will still visit with you from time to time. Bye for now. Rick
So sorry Jimmy passed away. Condolences to all the Barnes Family. We all knew him at different times of his beautiful life.Steve Sanders, Tully Dunlap, Jr., Trey Dunlap, Cheryl & Joe Casssody
Becky and family, sending our love and prayers to you and yours, and trusting you feel the warmth of God’s embrace in the coming days. Grace and peace
What a wonderful man who will truly be missed. We love you all and celebrate his heavenly homecoming. I just can imagine he and dad catching up.
