A. Irene Harlin's Obituary
Irene Harlin, age 99, passed away June 1st, 2012 in Broken Arrow, OK. Irene was born April 23, 1913, to Jess and Effie Hughes in Oklahoma City, OK. Irene married Luther Harlin on September 29, 1932 in Shawnee, OK. Irene and Luther had two daughters, Renee Dotson and Gloria McKee. The family moved to Tulsa in 1950. Irene was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed having her family and friends over for lunch or coffee. Irene taught Sunday school for many years and was a dedicated member of Belview Baptist Church in Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther, brother, Jessie and two sisters, Viola Gravett and Beulah Summers. Irene is survived by her daughters Renee Dotson and Gloria McKee (Sam), grandchildren Michael Dotson, Norma Cates (Mike), Dennis McKee (Theresa), Doug McKee (Tricia) and Kim McKee. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, June 3rd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S. 129th E Ave., Broken Arrow, OK. Memorial service will be Monday, June 4th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Belview Baptist Church, 1040 N. Yale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Belview Baptist Church.
