My thoughts and Prayers go out to Dana and Jana and family.
Joe was my friend from the time he dated and married my best friend, Billie Sue. Throughout life he remained steadfast to his goals of being the best husband to Billie Sue, father, grandfather, and friend that he knew to be. Hard work was a way of life to him although he enjoyed travel and was the perfect host at Danas wedding dinner. I guess the most personal interaction we had was in 1996 when he & Billie joined my husband & I for a "camping" experience in Alaska. Then in 2006 when my husband passed away Joe was the friend I would call for all the household repair jobs that I could not do. On the phone, miles away from the situation he would instruct me. REST, MY FRIEND, you have earned it. The memories of you will always be cherished in our hearts.
I had the chance to meet and work with Joe through Tulsa Tech for the past 5 years. I recently moved to Dallas, but had the chance to go out for a "going-away" meal before leaving town in December. I would have never guessed that was the last time I would be able to talk with Joe. He was so fun to interact with and he had so many neat stories that reminded me a lot of my own grandfather. I never had a chance to meet any of his other family, but thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of loss. Thinking of you all from Texas…
Our thoughts and prayers are with you on this sad day. Joe was a real friend to our family and will be greatly missed.
A kind and gentle man has left us to join Billie in a better place. I will forever miss a great friend. Condolences to Jana, Dana and family who lost a loving father and grandfather. May their sorrow be lessened by all their memories.
Whenever I saw Joe, he'd ask me if 'H' was still working nights, for many years, I sadly replied yes; Joe would say, "he really needs to be home with his family; He's not getting anywhere by being away from his family." Joe was a dedicated and compassionate father. He impressed upon 'H' the vital role a father plays in a family. His love for his family was beyond measure. Praying for you all.
Wishing you peace and love in the beautiful gates of Heaven. May peace and beautiful memories be with Jana, Dana and your grandkids. Your loss will come with less pain in time I can assure you. But lovely memories will always be with you! Thank you for being a helpful neighbor. I will never forget you!
Joe was a wonderful friend and will be missed dearly.
