Coach Negial A. King born May 3, 1926 in Elkins, Arkansas. Passed from this life Dec. 31, 2017. Survived by wife, Betty J. King and daughters, Carolyn Wiggins,Donna Lee (deceased), Rita Ballenger, Leslie Garrett and son David King, Stepson Russ R. Miller and 17 Grandchildren. Servied in the Army from Aug. 29, 1945 till Jan. 18, 1947 as a Sergeant, Rifleman, Armorer, Suppply NCO, WWII Victory Medal, Arm of Occupation Medal. Served with 1st Infintry, 6th Division Puson, Korea. Went to East Central State College. Coach of the year 1966. Won state championship for baseball in 1966. Coached 16 years with 328 wins 95 losses. In 1967-1972 241 wins and 58 losses. Inducted into Juco Hall. Platt National Park Ranger for 13 summers, National Junior College Baseball Hall of Fame Jan. 5th, 1989. Horse shoe pitching National Champion for 8 years and Oklahoma All State/All American Basketball player. National HOF player/2000 Hall of Fame coaches association. Key to City of Sulphur. “Negial King Day”, Dec. 28th in City of Sulphur. Married Betty Hall King on March 24, 2010. Negial and Betty belong to Western Swing Dancers Network. Honorary pallbearers for the service are: Melvin Imotochey, Rendal Cole, Jake Barton, Scott Horn, Kyle Brooks, Logan Janes. Funeral service to be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.- Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
