Ada Irene Williams' Obituary
Ada Irene Williams, 89, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on September 12, 1936, in Grazierville, Pennsylvania, to Theodore and Violet Livengood.
Ada lived a life defined by strength, independence, generosity, and deep devotion—to her family, her faith, and her community.
Her faith was central to her life. Ada was a dedicated, longtime member of Christ Church on Harvard for more than 40 years, where she served in many roles over the decades. She was an active participant in the Church Women United, Christ United Methodist Women, a member of the Altar Guild, and part of the offering counting team, always showing up faithfully and joyfully.
Ada brought her energy and leadership to numerous organizations in Tulsa. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, and served as both treasurer and secretary of the Tulsa Business Women’s Association. She volunteered at St. Francis Hospital, giving comfort and kindness to countless patients and families. Ada also loved to use her hands for good—especially through knitting. She crafted blankets for the children of St Francis, each one stitched with warmth and care.
A traveler at heart, Ada enjoyed exploring new places and making memories on the road. She also loved gathering with friends to play cards. A proud lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, she loved watching football on Sundays and cheered her team on with passion.
Above all, Ada loved people. She loved deeply and widely, embracing everyone she met with sincerity and joy. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the great joys of her life.
Ada is preceded in death by her first husband, Phillip Keith Allmendinger, who passed away in 1977. She later married Lloyd Williams, who also preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her brother Arthur Livengood (Nancy) and her half-sister Darlene Grundman (Fred). Their memories remained cherished parts of her life and family story.
Ada is survived by her son Michael Allmendinger (Cyndie), daughter Susan George (Ken), daughter Denise Lasswell, grandchildren Jennifer Chandler (Brad), Phillip Allmendinger (Kaelin), Landon Allmendinger, Taylan Allmendinger (Samantha), Madison Fellers (Buddy), Zach George, great-grandchildren Renata Allmendinger Chandler, Maren Allmendinger, Caspian Allmendinger, Henley Chandler, Sutton Chandler, Rory Fellers, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
