Alan Dale Luft's Obituary
Al passed away peacefully at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma surrounded by loving family on September 1st at the age of 67 after a long battle with colon cancer. A talented and loving husband and father he enjoyed; fly fishing, golf, art and animals. He savored chocolate, coffee and wine and enjoyed the adventure of travel.Al’s surviving family includes his loving wife and soul mate; Dana Luft, and daughter; Tina Bolding and her husband Matt Bolding of Broken Arrow, and his sister; Victoria Luft, of Boise, ID.Proceeded in death was his father; Victor Luft, mother; Leah Luft, and brother; Curtis Luft, all of Missoula MT. Al was born in Williston, ND, raised in eastern MT, went to high school in Scobey, college in Miles City and Havre, MT and enlisted in the US Marine Corp in 1965, proudly serving a tour of duty in Viet Nam. Al enjoyed athletics, playing football and basketball both in high school and college. He met and married the love of his life, Dana, in 1988. Al has worked as an executive for Caterpillar dealerships for 40 years, starting fresh out of the Marines in Montana, then working his way up the ladder to Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona and California. His last position was President of SITECH in Sacramento, CA.A memorial service celebrating Al’s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 15502 S.
