Alan "Red" McCartney's Obituary
Leslie Alan “Red” McCartney, age 63, passed away on April 16, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Alan was born on January 7, 1952 in Pennsylvania to his parents Leslie John and Twila Jean Smith. Alan received his general education from East Central High School after which he began working in the railroad industry. After his time in the railroad industry, he started working with the city of Tulsa as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement after 29 years of diligent service. Alan married Belinda Diane Frost on June 12, 1991 in Sperry, Oklahoma. Alan was a jokester who never met a stranger; he enjoyed the simple things such as tinkering with the lawnmower or popping popcorn with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Alan is survived by his wife Belinda, his son Harold Boggs, his three daughters Johnnie Stearns, Jerry Riddle, and Mary Frances Brown, his sister Linda McCartney, and his eight grandchildren Ashleigh Boggs, Dakota Boggs, Chad Waltrip, Cody Shaw, Clay Riddle, Shannon Stearns, Anthony Caldwell, and Donovin Caldwell. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 9 am to 1 pm with gravesides services to follow at 2:00 pm in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
