Albert William Presslauer's Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Albert William Presslauer on July 29, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on January 2, 1963, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, to Austrian immigrants Siegfried and Frances Paulina Presslauer.
In 1989, Albert married Maria Maldonado, who then took the surname Presslauer, becoming Maria Maldonado Presslauer. Together, they have two sons, Alexander William Presslauer and Jonathan Albert Presslauer. Albert is also survived by his brother, Siegfried Joseph Presslauer, and his wife, Betty.
After earning his Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1986 and his Master's Degree in Business Administration in 1988, both from Oklahoma State University, Albert started his career at Technotherm Corporation, a company founded by his father in 1972 that specializes in the design and manufacturing of waste heat recovery equipment. He assumed the position of President and CEO in 2003, a role he held for twenty remarkable years.
Albert had diverse interests. His father and brother introduced him to skiing when he was just three years old, a sport he would continue to pursue and eventually excel in throughout his life. Albert harbored a lifelong interest in music. During a one-and-a-half-year hiatus from his college studies, Albert toured regionally with a local rock-and-roll band Slayer, playing as the rhythm guitarist alongside his longtime friend and lead singer, Rick Adams. In addition, Albert had a deep appreciation for live music and frequently attended concerts. He also held a love for theme parks, air shows, and fireworks.
Albert was a patriot with an enduring love for his country and a deep respect for the United States military. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Albert's honor to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project.
Services will be held on August 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Floral Haven’s Rose Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. As we celebrate his life and spirit, condolences go out to all who knew him. Rest in peace, Albert.
