Alexander Connor's Obituary
Alexander John Connor passed from this life November 11, 2018, Tulsa, OK. Alexander, 86 years old, born in Coffeyville, KS April 19, 1932 to Johnnie H. Connor and Mary Elizabeth Franks Connor. On May 22, 1950 he married Audriene Louise Smith in Bartlesville, OK. They made their home in Coffeyville, KS later moving to Tulsa, OK where they raised their family. Alexander made his living as a Union Painter working for Bob Vale Painting Company for over 25 years. Although a painter by trade he was a man of many talents teaching himself various skills, rebuilding and painting old cars, welding, upholstery, wood working, building canoes, campers and additions onto homes owned by him and Audriene. His most ambitions build was a 2 car garage and workshop along with a very large family room onto their modest 1950’s home. Many precious memories were made in and with all the things he built. He was also a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was his pride and joy. Baptized in 1967 along with his wife and three children, he went on to serve his home church, Town and Country Christian Church as a youth leader, Deacon and Elder. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Audriene Louise Connor of the home. Children: John Connor, Tulsa, OK, Bruce Connor, Skiatook, OK and Tina (Leata) Oakes (Keith), Tulsa, OK. Eight grandchildren: Traci Clark (Shannon), Tahlequah, OK, Johnny Selby (Diana), Ft. Collins, CO, Morgan Mann, Tulsa, OK, Cara Connor, San Francisco, CA, Ethan Connor, Tulsa, OK, Evan Connor, Tulsa, OK Stephen Connor, Skiatook, OK and Amanda Key (Les), Dallas TX. Great grandchildren: Avalon Clark, Tahlequah, OK, Gryffyn Clark, Tahlequah, OK, Jakoda Selby, Ft Collins, CO, Jozie Selby, Ft Collins CO and Jericho Selby, Ft. Collins CO. One brother Lowell Woody Connor, Paola, KS. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Mary, siblings: William, Bobby Joe, Albert, Donald, Pauline, Agnes, Mary Ellen, Martha, Barbara and daughter-in-law, Margaret (Beth) Elizabeth Connor.Family will greet friends Wednesday, November 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15th at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Ortiz officiating.Although there will not a graveside service the family invites you to the home of Keith and Tina Oakes, 4620 S. Oxford Ave, Tulsa, OK shortly after the services are concluded for lunch and visitation.
