Belated condolences to Alfred Lee’s family. I served with him during the Korean era, aboard the USS Virgo, and we became great friends. I’m so sorry for not keeping in touch thru the years. I’ve many memories of him, aboard ship, playing pinocle, poker, hearts, and spending time on the flying bridge of the Sophia, him teaching me semaphore. A quiet person, until we could get ashore, have a drink, then the fun would start. Again, just know, he was a great person. Fair winds and following seas, my friend, till we meet again topside ! I remember the Deerinwater family well. My parents were friends with them for many years and we lost touch over the years. I am sorry to see that Mr. and Mrs. Deerinwater have both passed away. Kim and Dale you have my deepest sympathy for your loss.

I worked with Al (Postal Service) and always liked him. After he retired, I stopped by the golf course where he worked to say “hi” and visit a few minutes with him. He was well liked and I know he is missed. God bless.
