Alice Marie Reed's Obituary
Alice Marie Reed, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of those who cherished her. Born on September 24, 1939, to her parents, Larnce and Floy Hudson, Alice lived a life defined by faith, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Alice was a devoted follower of Christ and an active member of New Covenant Bible Church. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her through both joys and trials with resilience and grace. She shared this steadfast belief with those around her, offering wisdom, compassion, and encouragement.
In her younger years, Alice showcased exceptional talent as a seamstress, crafting beautiful and intricate pieces with great care. Her independent and strong-willed nature shaped not only her own life but also the lives of her grandchildren, whom she lovingly taught the value of determination and perseverance. Her warmth and love extended into her kitchen, where she delighted in cooking for her family—her famous mashed potatoes remaining a cherished memory for all who had the privilege of enjoying them.
Alice is survived by her loving son, Mark Reed; her adored grandchildren, Madeline McBride and husband Joshua, Emily Reed, and Zachery Reed; and her precious great-grandchildren, Alice McBride and Joseph McBride. She will also be dearly missed by her sisters, Patricia Crone and husband Bill, and Ladonna Thiltgen and husband Wayne, along with a host of other family and friends who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.
She is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Dan Reed, her sons, Michael Reed and Matthew Reed, and her siblings, Lawrence Hudson, Wilma Blair, Brenda Moore, and Roger Hudson. Together, they embrace once more in eternal peace.
Alice’s legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her family and friends will forever treasure the memories and lessons she shared, finding comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.
