Allan Erwin Ratliff's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allan Erwin Ratliff, age 77, born in Smith Center, Kansas on August 10, 1946, and departed this world from his Tulsa, Oklahoma residence on April 2, 2024 with his family by his side. Allan was born to Eldon Ratliff and Mrynah Ratliff. He had a twin brother, Alvin, brother, Dalen, brother Jerry and sister Sandy. Allan graduated from Kensington High School in 1964.
After high school, Allan enlisted in the Army, where he served two years active duty in Germany and then served the remainder time in the Army Reserves. He retired from the military after 26 years of service as a Sgt. Major.
In January of 1969, he met and married the love of his life, Twila Sue Kingsley. At the time of Allan’s passing, they had been married for almost 55 years. Allan and Twila had 8 children: Rebecca, Russell, Richard, Ralinda, Randall, Rodrick, Russtin and Rasonya. Allan loved his family deeply and made sure to always make them a priority. He was a devoted father in every sense of the word.
Allan worked as a welder, ran his own construction company, laid flooring and worked as a Manager of one of the Coney I-Lander. In his spare time, he umpired baseball & softball, refereed football and basketball, along with coaching these sports as well. Allan will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents: Eldon and Mrynah, brothers: Alvin, Dalen, Jerry, one of his sons Randall and son in law Brian Armstrong.
He is survived by his loving wife Twila Ratliff of Tulsa, children: Rebecca Armstrong of Owasso, Russell Ratliff of Tulsa, Richard Ratliff & wife Rachel of Owasso, Ralinda Ratliff of Tulsa, Rodrick Ratliff & wife Linsey of Verdigris, Rasonya Ratliff of Owasso and Russtin Ratliff & wife Ashley of Coweta. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Floral Haven Funeral Home: 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
Anyone wishing to send flowers may do so by ordering through our website or by calling Floral Designs by Floral Haven at (918) 459-1525. Any independent florists may deliver flowers directly to Floral Haven Funeral Home by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in order for them to be set out and properly displayed for Allan's visitation.
A funeral service to honor the life of Allan will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, located at 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012. Interment will follow at 11:00 AM, immediately after conclusion of the chapel service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Devotion. The U.S. Army Honor Guard will be in attendance to perform graveside military honors in remembrance of Allan and his service to his country.
Services will be live-streamed for anyone who is unable to physically attend.

A reception will be held once the committal concludes from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Floral Haven’s Family Center. Allan's family would like to warmly extend an invitation to anyone wishing to attend the reception in order to continue in fellowship and sharing of memories. The Floral Haven Family Center is also located at Floral Havel Funeral Home, 6420 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
