Colby Allan Wattier's Obituary
Colby Allan Wattier was born on September 14th, 1984 in Auburn Indiana and left this world for heaven on March 17th, 2013. Colby lived in Indiana until his early teen years and then moved to Oklahoma where he has lived primarily for the past 13 years. Colby was a father who loved his children, A son who was dearly loved by his family, A brother who loved to play and loved to tease. He was a faithful friend with charm that many found irresistable. When Colby was around you, youalmost always had a good time. If you wanted to know how Colby felt about somthing it wouldn’t take long to find out and certanly he was never lacking for an opinion on any number of topics. He didn’t leave you wondering how he felt about somthing even if he didn’t agree with you. From a very young age it was apparent that Colby was the hands on type. He could spend extended periods of time making lego models and then taking them apart to build somthing completely different. He had a great imagination and he would go right past the directions and jump right into figuring out how things went together just from the pictures. If you have known Colby for any time at all you would know he loved the outdoors. This also was clear early on in his life. We are not sure how he learned it, but there is no denying Colby could catch anything from birds, snakes, rabbits, frogs, beavers and bugs of all kinds and especially fish. The outdoors were a place he felt comfortable and thrived. It seemed even when the fish weren’t bitting Colby found a way to get one or more on the line. He was an awesome fisherman. We had plenty of memories of riding four wheelers, cutting down trees, building camp fires and fishing in the pond. He and his mom tell one story of a poor unsuspecting herron way across the pond. “Mom do you think I can hit it?” Okay go ahead and try. There is no way, but to there amazement the herron fell over. It may seem unbelievable but this story would not be uncommon as the years went by. Colby also loved to draw and had creative ideas about making many things. His mom had introduced him to bead making and he was really gifted in designing necklaces and bracelets. Shortly after being introduced to bead making, he became very intersted in this art. While on a cruise Colby took his supllies with him and began taking orders and making jewlry for the passengers. Before too long he was making lots of spending money and becoming well known on the ship. He was giving the shop owners some competition so they asked him to stop selling, but not before he had enough money to buy his mom a present. Even in his short time here on earth Colby has impacted many lives. He was a passionate young man and had a very giving and loving heart. No words can describe how deeply saddened we are to lose our son, We are believing God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ will comfort us in our loss and we are believing that you, too, will be comforted by the God of all comfort. We all pass through this life so quickly and eternity is before all of us. We pray you will put your trust in the one who gives us assurance of eternity in Heaven. For now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling refelctions in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that we know is partial and incomplete, but then we will know everything completely, just as God now knows us completely. Three things will last forever~~ Faith, Hope, and Love~~and the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:12-13. God loves you and so do we. Thank you for caring and taking time to remember our son Colby Allan Wattier. Colby’s memory verse was Psalm 46:10. “Be Still and know that I am God; I will be be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the Earth.”
