Alma Jean Engle's Obituary
On the morning of Thursday, October 29th, 2020 Alma Jean Engle of Collinsville, Oklahoma passed at the age of 92. She was born on September 24th, 1928 in Partridge, Kansas to her parents Walter Robinson and Elvira Kellenger Robinson. She was married to Wayne Letcher and Joe Engle who preceded her in death.
Alma is survived by her husband, John Richison of Collinsville, Oklahoma; one son, Robert Letcher and his wife Mary of Gainesville, Texas; two grandchildren, LeAnn Phelps and her husband Rich of Prosper Texas and James Letcher of Cherryvale Kansas. She has three great grandchildren, Tiffany Hunt and her husband Tyler of Tulsa Oklahoma, Tyler Phelps of Dallas Texas and Christa Page and her husband Doug of Cherryvale Kansas. She also left behind two great great grandchildren, Hunt twins of Tulsa Oklahoma. She has three step-children, Kandie Miller and her husband Rick of Owasso, Oklahoma, Lisa Baker and her husband Bill of Tulsa, Oklahoma and John Richison and his wife Diane of Collinsville, Oklahoma; and their many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elvira Robinson and her three siblings, Mary Hines, Sarah Carson and Walter Robinson.
Alma was a nurse for over 50 years and her nursing practice was exemplified at the Collinsville and Nowata Hospital Facilities in Oklahoma. She was an avid bowler who loved the game and averaged playing at least three times per week. She won many trophies and awards for her bowling skills. She loved to travel, spend time at the lake, eat out at restaurants and visit the casino on occasion.
Graveside services will be private.
