From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every person who came, prayed, shared stories, sent flowers, gave, called, texted, commented, and wrapped our family in love. Every hug, every tear, every memory, and every kind word reminded us just how deeply Grandpa loved others and how deeply he was loved in return.

Hearing your stories has been one of the greatest gifts. To hear how his kindness, faith, laughter, generosity, and unwavering love impacted so many lives has brought comfort beyond words. His life continues to bear fruit, and that is a beautiful testimony to God’s faithfulness.

The Lord placed these verses on my heart:

“For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see. Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts.”
Psalm 36:9–10 (NLT)

May we continue to walk in that light, love one another well, and live lives that point others to Jesus—just as Grandpa did.

I grew up with the Raper’s in the best lil neighborhood there was! Al & Pat were always so good to me but I always remember just how sweet Al was!

I met Al in September of 09 the year my family and I moved to Oklahoma. It was my first time at Men’s Prayer. It was that big I love you hug that he gives that resonated at that moment, but I went on to see what a mighty man of faith he was. My fondest memory is he and I sitting on a bench at the Riverwalk just talking about life, but also about what it meant and cost to love God, people and do the work of ministry. Al loved God, people and did the work of ministry. He was a big brother to me. My prayers and condolences to the family and friends.
