Alta Anita Wright's Obituary
Alta Anita Wright, 84, passed away on November 11, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Anita was born on May 3, 1927 in Longview, Texas to Thomas Arthur and Alta Josephine (Turner) Roberts. Mrs. Wright met and Married Melvin Wright on October 12, 1947. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tulsa. She was the church pianist and also taught piano in her spare time. Anita had many jobs such as receptionist, homemaker and genealogist. She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Bradfield Wright; children, Cynthia Groce and husband, Steve of Eastland, TX and David Wright and wife, Anita of Maxwell, NM; grandchildren, Stephen Groce and wife, Jennifer of Huntington, TX, Lyndee Groce of Petersburg, TX, David “Jess” Wright and wife, Anne of Kodiak, AK, and Kevin Wright of Canyon, TX; Great-Grandchildren, Peyton, Nathan, and Ian Groce of Huntington, TX; brothers, Thomas Roberts of Oklahoma City, OK and James Roberts and wife, Peggy of Kingman, KS; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Paul Groce.
