Alva B Henderson's Obituary
Alva B. “Abe” Henderson, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Monday, January 10, 2005. Born April 13, 1912 in Jena, Louisiana, he served in the U.S. Military (655th Topographic Engineer) during World War II. Retired from the Missouri-Pacific Railroad as a civil engineer. Spent his retirement in Houston, TX and Tulsa, OK. An avid golfer, he bested men many years his junior. Abe had a great, long life with no enemies and had lots of friends at Ernie Miller Pontiac. He and his sense of humor will missed by all who knew him. Visitation was held from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, January 12, 2005 and funeral services were held at 12:30 P.M. Thursday, January 13, 2005, both at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Burial took place at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.Survived By: his sons, Scott and his wife Jann of Tulsa, OK, Don and his wife Janice of Austin, TX, Charles and his wife Mary Kay of St. Louis, MO; granddaughters, Alicia, Devon and Paige.
