Alvin Don Roberts, Jr.'s Obituary
Alvin Don Roberts Jr, beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, son, brother and friend, was born Monday, February 1, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to his loving parents, Alvin Don Roberts Sr. & LaFern Ingram Roberts. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Don was a lifelong resident of the Tulsa area. In his free time he enjoyed many things, but rebuilding classic cars was his passion, including his prized 1948 Chevrolet truck that he built from the frame up. He also spent a great deal of time working with the Boy Scouts of America, especially with his son Tyler, who was an Eagle scout, and with the American Cancer Society putting on classic car shows, among other things. Don spent many hours traveling to cheer competitions with his daughter Kayla, both competitive cheer and all through her school years, and he was always so proud when she was cheering. He touched many lives with his generosity. Don was preceded in death by his precious grandson Zane McCarty. He is survived by his beloved wife Cindy Roberts, his loving children and stepchildren, Tyler Roberts & wife Courteney, daughter Kayla Roberts, stepchildren Weston McCarty and Dylan McCarty & wife Katie, granddaughter Mallory Porter, and grandsons Weston Roberts and Zyler McCarty. He is also survived by his parents, Alvin & LaFern Roberts and brother, Toby Roberts, along with numerous other beloved family members & friends. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10:00AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home in the Chapel, followed by a graveside service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Services have been entrusted to Floral Haven Funeral Home, Crematory & Memorial Gardens, 6500 S 129th E Avenue; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
