Alvin Lavern Wilson, 82 of Afton, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, November 25, 2019 at his home with family by his side. He was born August 15, 1937 in Bridgeport, Oklahoma to his parents, James and Elsie Wilson. He married the love of his life, Anna Erline Flynn on December 28, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and they have shared in over 59 beautiful years together.Alvin retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service to his country.Alvin is survived by his loving wife, Anna Wilson of the home; two sons, Richard Wilson and his wife Cynthia of Cleveland, Tennessee and Darin Wilson of Claremore, Oklahoma; one daughter, Robin Parnell of Grove, Oklahoma; two brothers, Albert Wilson and his wife Betty of New Castle, Oklahoma and George Wilson and his wife Ada of Mustang, Oklahoma; two sisters, Lillian Wilson of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Lois Tipton and her husband Bill of Bethany, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Josh Curtis Wilson, Candice Browning, Paige Pixley, Chelsea Parnell, Hunter Wilson and Tommy Wilson; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elsie Wilson and his six siblings.Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Floral Haven’s Rose Chapel with services immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
