Amy Kay Hargrove's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amy Hargrove, a beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, niece, cousin, and friend, a source of inspiration to all who were fortunate to know her. Amy was born on October 27, 1987, in Mesquite, Texas, and she departed from this world on November 2, 2023, at the age of 36.
Amy’s presence in our lives was nothing short of a gift. She possessed a warm and kind spirit, always offering encouragement and support to those around her. Her genuine smile and unwavering positivity brightened the darkest of days for friends and acquaintances alike. A true artist at heart, Amy’s passion for singing led her to the stage in local and regional competitions and high school musical productions at Augustine Christian Academy. After high school, she was invited to join the Tulsa Community College (TCC) Show Choir. This led to her being selected for a solo spot along with the Tulsa Symphony during a special performance at TCC. Her powerful voice touched the hearts of many with its beauty and grace. Her talent was a testament to her dedication and hard work, a testament to the unwavering work ethic she applied to everything she pursued. In her professional life, Amy was a model of diligence and excellence. She worked as a bartender for most of her adult work history, putting herself through college at Missouri State University where she graduated with a degree in Entertainment Management. While living in Springfield, MO she was fortunate to gain dear friends who remain dear friends. After several years, Amy ventured to Hilton Head Island and began working for the Omni Resort, where her charm and welcoming nature made her a favorite among patrons. Co-workers at the Omni testify that she made a huge impression on them and they looked to her as a mentor. Amy made new and dear friends in Hilton Head who remain dear friends.
Amy’s passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her. Her memory and the legacy of her kindness, talent, and dedication will be cherished forever. She will be truly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. In this time of sorrow, we extend our deepest condolences to Amy’s family and friends, and we join together to celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the enduring impact she had on all of us. Rest in peace, dear Amy. Amy is survived by her parents, Donald and Patricia Hargrove; her brother, Paul Hargrove, and his wife, Laura; brother, Brian Hargrove and numerous other family members and friends. Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Chapel
