Amy Laverna Roe's Obituary
Amy LaVerna Roe, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 4th surrounded by her family. Amy was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on February 20, 1948 to Lavern and Ruby Robbins. Amy had a passion for nature and loved gardening. She enjoyed time with family and friends and was an active member of Joy Lutheran Church.When she wasn’t working, she filled her days homeschooling two of her grandchildren, caring for her friend, Gene Craig, and doing anything that allowed her to use her creative talents.Amy is survived by her five children, Deana Charleen Shook and Melissa Dawn Harris of Tulsa, Joshua Roe, Andrew LaVern Craig and his wife Heather of Broken Arrow, and Todd Eugene Shook and his wife Mendy of Bella Vista, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Amber Grace Carlile, Zachary Clifford Shook and his wife Mallory, Christopher Shane Robbin Shook, Aiden Xander and Anderson Xavier Craig, Tia Neeley, Michael Darias Vaughn Lanter; and seven great-grandchildren, Coby and Liam Carlile, Aiden and Lillian Waddell, and Aiden, Kaydynce, and Allison Shook.She is proceeded in death by her parents and her grandson Stephen James Shook.A service to celebrate the life of Amy Roe will be at Joy Lutheran Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 10 at 2 pm. Graveside services will follow on Sunday, March 11th at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas at 4 pm.
