Amy Jo Steltzlen's Obituary
Amy Jo Steltzlen passed peacefully surrounded by her family after losing her battle with cancer on August 26, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 65.
Amy was born to William and Joyce Orr on June 27, 1959 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the quintessential middle child, being born right in the middle of 6 siblings. Amy met her high school sweetheart, Kevin, through a mutual friend and quickly fell in love. They married April 5, 1978, and went on to have four beautiful girls together.
Amy and Kevin started their family together in Tulsa before work moved them to the east coast. They spent several years in Attleboro, Massachusetts, before Kevin was transferred to Colorado for work. After becoming empty nesters, Amy and Kevin moved to Albuquerque before finally moving back to Oklahoma.
Amy worked as a CNA at a nursing home before deciding to be a stay at home mom. She enjoyed spending her time knitting, visiting with her friends and loved ones, and going for walks with her family. She will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, William S. Orr Senior, brother Robbie Orr, sister Suellen Barry, and brother William S. Orr JR. She is survived by her husband John Kevin Steltzlen, daughters Shawna (Farris) Rihani, Karen (DJ) Morrell, Hannah Steltzlen, and Holly (Justin) Tindall, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother Joyce Orr, Bonnie Rainbow, Maribeth (Tim) Johnson, and David (Brenda) Orr.
