Andrea Warren's Obituary
Andrea Warren, age 60, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on October 8, 2023. She was born on December 18, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Andrea was a very independent and private person. She had a lifelong love for dogs and treated them like family. Cross stitching with beads and gold thread was one of her favorite hobbies, and she was known for her tricky card playing skills in canasta. Andrea enjoyed reading and listening to books on her iPad, as well as solving puzzles when she was younger. She was raised in the Methodist Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Andrea attended Webster High School and later pursued higher education at the University of Tulsa. She had a successful career as an accountant, specializing in gas and oil leases, general accounting, and working on the SAP project. She began her career at Amoco and worked in Tulsa, Houston, and Chicago. Following the BP Amoco merger, Andrea transitioned to Accenture. She later joined DCP Midstream, working in Houston, Tulsa, and Denver.
Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, Andy J and Eloise Warren, her maternal grandparents Ray and Isadora Whitmeyer, and her paternal grandparents Joseph and Ethel Warren. She is survived by her sister, Julianne Warren, her aunt Paula Foster, her three best friends Lisa McElroy, Pam Downey, and Karen Lafitte, as well as her adopted niece Samantha McElroy. Andrea also leaves behind numerous cousins from the Warren and Whitmeyer families.
In lieu of flowers, per family request, memorial donations can be made to the Riverdale Animal Shelter at 12155 Park Blvd, Brighton, Colorado 80601, or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Andrea's memory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Floral Haven Funeral Home: 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
A funeral service to honor the life of Andrea will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 12:30 PM, in Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel: 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012. Interment will follow immediately after conclusion of the chapel service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
Anyone wishing to send flowers may do so by ordering through our website or by calling Floral Designs by Floral Haven at (918) 459-1525. Any other florists may deliver flowers by 3:00 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023, in order for them to be set out during visitation.
