Andrew Loyd Phillips' Obituary
Andrew “Andy” Loyd Phillips, a resident of Jenks, passed away May 27, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born April 16, 1932 to Floyd Calvin Phillips and Della Olena (Cude) Phillips in Porum, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He received his Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering from Okmulgee Tech. After more than 35 years with PSO, he also earned numerous Safety & Years of Service Awards. Andy enjoyed raising & showing horses, playing & singing guitars with friends & family, square dancing, traveling with friends & family in their RVs; hunting & fishing.He was preceded in death by his Father: Floyd Calvin Phillips and Mother: Della Olene Cude Phillips; Brothers: Vinnis Berry Phillips & Fred Calvin Phillips; Sisters: Lois Ester Phillips, Flora Bessie Phillips, Wilma Evone”Toots” Brown, Mary Lou Phillips, & Betty Jo Bales.Survivors include his loving Wife: Jolene Teague Phillips of Jenks, Ok; Daughter: Alma Jo & Husband Richard Bradford of Catoosa, Ok; Son: David Lloyd & Wife Kathy Phillips of Inola, Ok; Son: Gary Dwayne Phillips & Lydia Samuels of Jenks, Ok; Brothers: John Boyd Phillips of McAlester, Ok & Kenneth “Chick” Marvin Phillips & Wife Diane of Muskogee, Ok; Sister: Leafy Lorraine Miller of Muskogee, Ok; 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren & 1 Great Great Grandson.Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Beaver Street Baptist Church in Jenks with Pastor Terry Jarrard officiating. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow.Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Patriot Guard Riders and the American Legion Post 56.
