It is with deeply heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ange Marie (Haas) Adkins-Gilbert, born in San Antonio, Texas on June 27, 1969 and departed this world from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on July 19, 2024. She was with her husband, Johnathan Gilbert for 13 years and was married for another 3. Ange worked as a nurse for many years, mostly in pediatrics and internal medicine. She loved her job and the compassion she naturally possessed made her good at it.
Ange had 2 children: Hunter Adkins and Cheyenne Adkins, whom she loved with all her heart. She also had a grandson, Laith Owen Adkins and Ange was over the moon in love with him. When Ange wasn’t working, she was helping take care of her parents Bobbie and Wayne. Ange had a special love and a way with animals; her family oftentimes would call her the animal whisperer. She had 3 dogs: Zues, Re-Run and Lilly, along with plenty of cats! She even had a crawdad named Charlene. Ange was the most caring and compassionate person; she truly would help anyone that needed her and smile the whole time.
Ange was preceded in death by her grandparents Arthur Haas and Norene Haas, Bob Strout, Jewel Strout and Virginia Campain; her parents Wayne Haas and Bobbie Haas; her sister Amy Haas; and her nephews Jacob Haas and Jared Haas-Upky. Ange is survived by her husband, Johnathan Kelse Gilbert, her children Hunter Adkins and Cheyenne Adkins; her sister Jennifer Atwell and brother in law Shawn Atwell; her nephew Carter Atwell; her niece Jenna Haas; as well as many more extended family members and friends that will miss her deeply.
