Anita Louise Blanton's Obituary
Anita Louise Blanton, 78, of Tulsa, OK passed peacefully from this life on January 27, 2022. She was born January 16, 1944, in Muskogee, OK to Ted Stone and Betty McClanahan. Louise grew up in Tulsa and was a proud graduate of Central High School. She was an insurance underwriter who worked for agencies in Tulsa, Kansas City, and Leavenworth, Kansas during her career until she retired in 2008. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active member of Chapter AK, P.E.O. International, a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women. Her greatest love was spending time with family. Louise and Dennis spent many years traveling to their favorite places, especially Hawaii and Germany. She enjoyed shopping with an extra love for shoes and coats which she made sure she purchased regularly for her grandchildren. All that knew her would say she was an amazing cook, in fact, it was often said that only she could make a gourmet meal with nothing but a microwave!
Louise is survived by her husband of 33 years, Dennis, son Tom (Leslie) Rowlands of Tulsa, daughter Trina (Danny) Souders of Fort Smith, Daryl Blanton Sr. of Claremore, grandchildren Alix (Drew) Lucas, Meghan Souders, Drew (Kelli) Rowlands, Emily Souders, Daryl Blanton Jr., John Wiley Jr., Atalau Wiley, Lily Wiley, and great-grandson Jack Lucas as well as many other extended family and friends.
