Ann Atchley's Obituary
Ann Dereece Atchley was born December 31, 1934 in Henryetta, OK and passed from this life on March 18, 2024
Ann loved family more than anything and was always the first and the last to be there if anything was needed. She only worked a few years before starting her family and then dedicated the rest of her life as a wife, and stay-at-home mom. Later she enjoyed her grandchildren and at the end of her life, she cherished her moments with her two great grandchildren. She would always light up when she saw them running up the porch.
She loved the game of Rummikub and made it very clear she was " in it to win it". Up to her late 80's, she would sit on the floor (in the sunshine) and play Solitaire. Probably her most favorite thing to do was sit on her backyard swing and enjoy the sunshine. She liked working in the yard but she was a little OCD. We heard about the gumball trees just about every day. If a gumball fell from the trees next door and landed in her yard, it would bother her until she went out to pick it up.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Boyce L Atchley. They married on January 21, 1955. She was widowed at 31 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her parents James Dewey and Nadine Octavia Woodlee, sisters Jean Eaton, Gloria Atkins, Helen Waskom, and Patricia Michael, along with brothers James and Floyd Woodlee
Ann is survived by brother Donald Woodlee and his wife Nelda, children Robin Barrett and her husband Richard, Cheryl Ecklestafer, and Eric Atchley and his wife Sheila, grandchildren Alecia Ecklestafer, Megan Lazalier and her wife Seton, Austin Atchley and Trevor Atchley, great-grandchildren Preslee and Hendrix
