Ann Thomas' Obituary
Ann Thomas, age 88, a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ann was born March 27, 1935, to Garland and Laura (Canary) Carter in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, James Thomas, who was her high school sweetheart. She found joy in gardening, crocheting, singing in the church choir, and spending time with her family. As Gran, she was an energetic source of fun with her birthday celebrations, hot dog roasts by the lake, and games around the table. Her family will remember her best for her welcoming smile, hand-made afghans, constant encouragement, and her snickerdoodle cookies.
Ann is also survived by her children Gary (Jan) Thomas of Tulsa, Larry (Tammy) Thomas of Tulsa, and Kay (Kevin) Burney of Louisville, Kentucky, her beloved sister Mary (Harold) Zwahlen of Broken Arrow, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
