Annie Faye Wright passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2026. She was the proud mother of seven children Leslie Gaither, Robin Wright, Chris Wright, Ashley Nevels, Albert Wright, Shannon Contreras and Windle Wright. Her family continues to grow and flourish through twenty grandchildren and forty‑eight great‑grandchildren, each of whom carries forward a piece of her spirit. She is also survived by her beloved brother, George Windle Wasson.
She is leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and family devotion that will endure for generations.
Born in McCool, Mississippi January 21, 1948, Annie Faye carried with her a deep sense of family, faith, and resilience throughout her life. She loved fiercely, and those who knew her best understood that her greatest joy was caring for the people she loved. Cooking for her family was her love language—her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness, where countless memories were made around her table.
Her wisdom, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family shaped the lives of all who were blessed to know her. Her legacy will live on through the many generations who will continue to tell her stories, cook her recipes, and love as she loved.
