Argle Sawyer Argle Sawyer, 87, of Broken Arrow, OK, died on February 5, 2011, at Broken Arrow. Argle was born on August 7, 1923, in Strickler, Arkansas. He was a retired carpenter/home builder. Argle was preceeded in death by his parents, William Hobert Sawyer and Flora Ethel (Brown) Sawyer; brother – Robert (Bob) Eudell Sawyer; and brother – John Paul Sawyer. He is survived by wife, Janice (Peterson) Sawyer, of 68 years (married June 2, 1942); children – Gladys (Sawyer) Box and husband Larry of Falcon, Missouri; Kenneth Sawyer and wife Ann of Broken Arrow, Glenn Sawyer of Broken Arrow, Don Sawyer and wife Pat of Broken Arrow, Diana (Sawyer) Hash and husband David of Broken Arrow, Joy (Sawyer) Wise and husband Roger of Broken Arrow, Roger Sawyer and wife Kaye of Broken Arrow, and Scott Sawyer and wife Laurie of Broken Arrow; sister – Evelyn McKinney of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; brother – Arch Sawyer of Pryor, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many relatives. Services were held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at 10 a.m., at Floral Haven Chapel, with the Rev. Devin Rohr officiating. He is resting at Sermon on the Mount, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
