Arnold Lee Gwartney's Obituary
Arnold Lee Gwartney, 86, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022.
Arnold was born on June 7, 1935 in Hammon, Ok to James Gwartney and Roxie Moore. He married the love of his life Wilhelmina Gwartney on February 19, 1955. Arnold retired from McKissick and also worked at Armours Meat Company. He enjoyed square dancing, camping, eating baloney and coneys, cracking a funny joke and most of all going to the casino or just spending time with his family.
Surviving is his daughter Gail Strange and husband John, his sons Steve Gwartney and wife Peggy and Randy Gwartney, granddaughters Erica Reans, Tamara Hercheck and Jennifer Niedzwiecki, grandsons Matthew Gwartney and wife Carly and Jeremy Teel, great grandsons Thomas and Trenton Hercheck and Stefan Teel, great granddaughters Kelsey Rice, Terrianna Hercheck, Erin and Justice Reans, Stella and Gwen Gwartney, Mars Niedzwiecki and his great great grandson Adonis Hercheck. He is also survived by his youngest brother Clyde Gwartney and wife Jolene, his sister-in-law Monna Gwartney and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Arnold was preceded in death by his beloved wife Wilhelmina Nantz, his parents, grandson Steven Lee Gwartney, great granddaughter Kellycia Hercheck, his seven half-brothers, one half-sister and his four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held at Floral Haven on Sunday, January 23rd from 2pm-5pm.
Services to celebrate Arnold’s life will be held by Don Sedwick on January 24th, at 3 pm at Floral Haven Chapel. Graveside services will be conducted at Floral Haven following his service and dinner at the family center from 4:30-6:30.
