Arthur Carl Hicks' Obituary
Carl Arthur Hicks, husband of Charlotte Hicks and long time Broken Arrow resident passed away in his home early the morning of June 21, 2010 of natural causes at the age of 85. Carl was born in Huntington Park, California (Los Angeles Area) February 22, 1925 to Edward Hicks and Mabel Hayward-Hicks and moved to Broken Arrow, OK in 1956 where he met and married Charlotte Jones and began a 50+ year marriage. After receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Carl spent most of his career involved in the electronics field as a TV repair technician and later as a builder and designer of industrial electronics. Funeral services at Floral Haven are Friday, June 25 at 12:30 PM. Friends and family will be welcome at the Floral Haven Family Center immediately after services.Survived By: Carl is survived by wife Charlotte, 3 daughters: Della and Fletcher Fuhrman, Patricia and Larry Nodine and Sandy and Chris Tackett all of Broken Arrow. 8 grandchildren: Michael Owings, Douglas Tackett, Trevor Fuhrman, Lucas Nodine, Carlyn Tackett, Kacey Haeberle, Brian Tackett and Danielle Wilson and their spouses. 5 Great Grandchildren: Chase Finley, Harley Martin, Cheradan Haberle, Cole Owings and Dylan Tackett. Carl and Charlotte also raised 5 nieces and nephews starting in 1965. Lee McKenzie, Doris Rosser (already passed), James McKenzie, Peggy Karnes and Bonnie Born.
